Air Break Starters

Garg Distributors offers Air Break Starter, MJ1JT. It is used for 3-phase, 415 V, 50 Hz motor applications with built-in protection against single phasing and for single phase 240 V, 50 Hz motor applications. It is an extremely compact and aesthetically designed starter for direct on-line starting. It provides efficient and reliable protection to motor because of thermal overload relay type JT1. It is available: a) Up to 5 HP for 3 phase, 415 V, 50 Hz motors; and b) Up to 2 HP or with a maximum relay range of 6 to 9 A for single phase, 240 V, 50 Hz motors. Features: starter"s steel sheet enclosure is deep drawn with edges perfectly rounded; starter enclosure is designed for IP-53 protection and is powder coated for better weather resistance; air break contactor used in starter is rated at 9 A, 415 V, 50 Hz, AC3 duty; adequate and convenient termination space is available for recommended power cables; and for motor protection, it uses thermal overload relay type JT1. JT1 provides protection against single phasing for 3 phase starter applications; it is ambient temperature compensated and has been type tested as per IS: 13947 at ERDA; user selectable auto and manual reset options are available on the relay. Selection is by rotating a small, yellow plastic lever from auto to manual position or vice versa; it has excellent repeat accuracy; trip class of this relay as per Table II of IS:13947 part 4 is 10A; relay knob markings are spread considerably apart which imparts high resolution; and relay knob has a screw driver slot which enables easy rotation of relay knob for convenient current setting.
