- These limiters provide unparalleled system protection. They offer advantages of current limitation for systems rated to 38 kv with high continuous current ratings up to 5000 ampere.Â
- The product provides fault interruption beyond 300 ka rms symmetrical at 15.5 kv has been achieved. The CLiP is an electronically sensed and triggered, commutating form of current limiter, sometimes referred to generically as an IS-limiter. In IS-limiter, a continuous copper bus bar path carries the continuous current.
- This path is opened on the occasion of ‘over current conditions’ to introduce a parallel mounted current limiting fuse which interrupts the fault.
