For more than 60 years, Dipl-Ing W Bender GmbH & Co KG offers measuring, monitoring and protective systems to monitor the electrical safety of machines and systems. RCM residual current monitors are designed to monitor electrical installations for residual/fault currents, they display the current measured value and signal when configurable response values have been exceeded. They can be used for signalling and/or switching purposes. They are primarily used in applications where switching off the power supply would be undesirable or problematic in view of the load structure, such as in the case of trace heating systems, cooling systems and computer and communication systems (as well as in many other areas). Distinctive features: RCM series – type A residual current monitors are designed to monitor AC currents (42…2000 Hz) and pulsating DC currents; RCMS series – type A/type B multi-channel residual current monitoring system designed to monitor AC currents as well as pulsating and smooth DC currents (0/42…2000 Hz); and RCMA series – type B residual current monitors designed to monitor AC currents as well as pulsating and smooth DC currents (0…2000 Hz). Applications: fire and property protection in industrial and functional buildings; UPS systems; power supplies that must never be interrupted, e.g., for cooling and air conditioning systems; variable-speed drives; lighting circuits; medical locations; safety circuits; computer and communication systems, etc. Impressive advantages: significant cost reductions as a result of higher availability and minimal maintenance costs; higher degree of fire and property protection; universal current versions for monitoring AC currents as well as pulsating and smooth DC fault currents; and not dependent on waveform thanks to true rms measurement.
