The A-Isometer range of insulation monitoring devices is meant for unearthed power supplies (IT systems). Unearthed power supplies offer an invaluable advantage – a first earth fault does not cause tripping and the system thus continues to operate uninterrupted. Consequently, IT systems with insulation monitoring are used in situations that call for maximum safety and reliability. At the heart of any IT system, there is an A-Isometer insulation monitoring device. This continuously monitors the insulation resistance between the supply system and earth and immediately signals when a specific value is undershot.
