Power Factor Meters

Automatic Electric offers a Power Factor Meter. It is a built in transducer type PF meter. Power factor meter indicates the cosine of phase angle between current and voltage. Input voltage and current signals are applied to phase sensing zero crossover circuitry and amplifier. It delivers direct current proportional to phase angle, which drives a moving coil movement. The indication is cosine function of phase angle. Features: built-in transducer; panel wiring is reduced; and low VA burden. Electrical specifications: type - single phase, three phase - single element; operating voltage - 110-125 V, 220 to 250 V, 380- 440 V (PT secondary); operating current - 1 A or 5 A (CT secondary); measuring range -a) 0.5 (lead)-1.0-0.5 (lag), b) 0.5 (lag)-1.0-0.5 (lead); and c) 0.7 (lead)-1.0-0.3 (lag); frequency - 50 Hz. or 60 Hz; accuracy - ±2°; VA burden - voltage 0.5 VA, current 1 VA; insulation resistance - greater than 20M ohms at 500V DC; dielectric test - 2 kV RMS for 1 minute; operating temperature - 0°C to 55°C; storage temperature - -20°C to 70°C; humidity up to 95% RH; indication - analogue, cosine function; and conforms to IS1248/IEC 60051 (Part-5).
