Automatic Electric Ltd, an ISO 9001 certified company by BVQI, offers Dynamometric 1-/3-phase Power and Power Factor Meters. Dynamometric instruments are used for measurement of active, reactive and absolute power in single and three-phase systems for balanced/unbalanced load conditions. Watt, Var and VA instruments incorporate current coils, connected in series with the load and pressure coils connected across the load. These instruments work on "Air cored Electro-Dynamometric" principle. Power factor meter incorporates two pressure coils, one with non-inductive resistance in series and other with capacitance in series and are cross connected. The deflecting torque produced is proportional to the phase angle between current and voltage vectors. The pointer rests anywhere on the scale when meter is not connected in the circuit, as there is no controlling torque. The company, founded in 1942, is a pioneer in the field of electrical instruments, power systems and instrument transformers in India. The products are designed by the in-house R&D Dept. The designs used are consistent with the best engineering practices known worldwide.
