Insulation Resistance Tester

Chroma Electronics offers a transistorised Insulation Resistance Tester, battery operated type. This is housed in a sturdy metallic case with separate battery compartment. It operates on Eveready Battery No. 1035, 1.5 V each, 4 cells or equivalent. A press-to-test switch has been provided. The test voltage will be developed at terminals ‘E’ & ‘L’ only after pressing this switch. ‘0’ adjustment facility is provided to compensate battery voltage variation by 10% of normal battery voltage. Applications: The efficiency of electrical installations and apparatus depends on the conditions of the insulation. It is essential to thoroughly check when new equipment is manufactured or installed and subject to a voltage high enough to break through any mechanical flaws that may have arisen.
