Xian Henry Automation offers Cable Fault Locators/ Testers, CBT Series. It is a self-contained, portable, rugged, reliable and compact cable tester, ideal for field use for underground buried or pipeline cable testing and fault locating. It consist of flash testing, path tracing and fault locating sections. Flash test section is used to approximately detect the position of fault point from one end of the cable, and also used for measuring cable length and electric wave propagation velocity in cable. Path signal generator is integrated and is able to generate 15 kHz sine wave signal, which is used for buried cable path tracing and depth measuring. Fault locator is a standard accessory and is used for accurately locating position of fault point within the range of flash test detected coarse length range. Specifications: Capable of testing every fault of all kinds of power cables of 35 KV lower voltage grade with copper or aluminum core, such as faults of open circuit, short circuit, splice, high resistance flash aspect, and high resistance leakage aspect; Electric wave propagation velocity of most common cables are preset for convenient testing, such as polyethylene cable, PVC cable, and PILC cable; Cable length and fault distance are directly indicated in screen without manual calculation; Test distance: maximum 16 km tested from bilateral ends; Four types of wave sampling frequencies 40, 20, 10, and 5 MHz; Error: relative error within +/ -2%, absolute error 15 m for 1 km less length, 20 m for over 1 km length; Differentiability: V/ 2f meter (V: electric wave propagation velocity in cable, f: sampling frequency), For example, V=160m/us, 40MHz sampling frequency used for measuring, screen cursor moving one unit of dot will mean 160/ (2x40)=2 meters; Large dot matrix LCD for display of data and oscilloscope graphics; Measured length direct displayed after locating and moving the single line cursor to point; Measured data and chart can be stored; Sizes and weight: 455 x 315 x 195 mm, 9 kg; Integrated Path Signal Generator Data; Generate 15 kHz sine wave signal; Output power not less than 30 watt; Vibration type: intermittent; Voltage 220 V AC +/- 10%, 50 Hz; Working ambient: -10 to 45 deg.
