Self-Broaching Fasteners

All captive broaching fasteners for PCBs, install into a round hole, which may be drilled in non-ductile materials. Captive broaching fasteners are pressed into printed circuit boards and non-ductile materials and held permanently in place by an interference fit. Common types of self-broaching fasteners include: nuts, studs, stand-offs. CKF2 and CKFS2 broaching-type fasteners are designed for use on printed circuit boards and on most brittle or hard materials: glass laminates, epoxy or resin with paper, nylon, or canvas bases. They are also used on materials too thin or unsuitable for threading, such as acrylic and polycarbonate panels.
