Universal Joints

Gears & Gear Drives India P Ltd, an ISO 9001-2008 certified Company which covers design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of products, offers a range of Unviersal Joints. These are used to transmit torque from one shaft to another, which are inclined to each other. It is an ideal form of coupling to transmit power efficiently when inclination of shafts is unavoidable. Universal Joints are manufactured from right quality alloy steel and heat treated for increased durability and overload resistance. These are precision machined and ground to close tolerances to ensure optimum performance under severe operating conditions. There are three types of universal joints: single universal joint, double universal joint and expandable universal joint. The diameters range from 13 to 63 mm; expandable types have splines for telescopic movement. There are various type of bores, cylindrical, square, hexagon to suit every application. Materials of Construction: hubs are made of Cr-Mo medium carbon steel, hardened and tempered for high torque transmission; pins are made of Ni-Cr-Mo medium carbon steel, hardened and tempered for high shear strength; and special platings for corrosion resistance available on request.
