Couplings

TB Wood"s Inc offers Size 70 and 80 Dura-Flex couplings for variable speed and variable torque requirements in pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, mixers, and conveyors. The Split-in-half Flex-element technology developed for the couplings eliminates the need to move heavy equipment for installation. The flex-element consists of a polyurethane material bonded to steel shoes and bolted to metallic shaft hubs. The design of the couplings moves stress away from the bond to maximise flex life. The Dura-Flex products are directly interchangeable with similar elastomeric couplings. They also adapt to many shaft spacings with a minimal number of components and do not require lubrication.
