Precision Multi-Turn Test Gauges For Relative/Differential & Absolute Pressure

Precision Multi-Turn Test Gauges For Relative/Differential & Absolute Pressure

TE Miniature (68 mm dia) multitum (max 20 revolutions), two or three pointer precision pressure gauges from Revue Thommen, AG, Switzerland, can measure inert gases in the positive, negative, differential and/or absolute pressure range. Their high response sensitivity, scale length of up to 4000 mm, linear resolution, reflecting ring and knifeedge pointer enable measured values to be read simply, reliably and free from parallax effors. A high quality copperberyllium stacked capsule forms the heart of these gauges. The measured value is displayed by the knife-edged pointer in linear fashion via precision gearing. Depending on the measuring range, scale length is up to 4000 mm, this being with 20 revolutions of the pointer. All hardened and lapped pinions run in synthetic jewelled bearings. Temperature influences are largely compensated over the range -20?C to +35?C by two separate bimetallic strips. Further, any drift of the zero point can easily be corrected by means of the adjustable knob provided. The instruments are as simple to read as clocks with the aid of two or three pointers with decadic step-down gearing. Test gauges (18A and 19A types) for relative and differential pressures are provided with P (positive) and S (negative) connection and as such can be used to measure either pressure or vacuum, still reading in clockwise direction. Available according to method and field of application for instance are measuring ranges from 0... 100mbar to 0 ... 20000 mbar and 0 ... 1100abs mbarb, or 850... 1100 abs mbar abs and resolutions up to 1 mm H 2 O (0.1 mbar). Depending on type, other measuring ranges, units of measurement and execution variants are available, for instance for panel mounting, portable in sheet steel boxes or integrated in Thommen Calibrators. Pressure safeguards or bursting discs can be incorporated to customers' specifications for safety and to protect measuring instruments from overloads, especially with small measuring ranges. Gauges with 0.05 %, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.25 % FS accuracies are available. Thommen gauges including barometers and altimeters are being widely used in laboratories, aircraft, meteorology, geodetic, analytical, surveying and process control engineering applications.
