Pin Hole Test Apparatus

Lumetron PH-01 Pin Hole Test Apparatus is designed to test the continuity of insulation covering on enamelled winding wires. It is a precision instrument useful for the manufacturers and users of enamelled wires and suitable for wire diameters from 0.04 mm to 0.5 mm. It complies with the requirements of IS:4800 (Part 3), BS:4663 (Part 1), DIN 46453 and other related Standards. The instrument consists of a motorised drive with a preset test speed which pulls the wire through a conductive liquid bath. The acrylic bath is completely enclosed with physical and electrical isolation for safety and is detachable for filling and emptying. A continuously adjustable DC voltage is applied between the wire and bath. A fault is detected when the resistance of the circuit remains lower than a preset value for a period greater than the set timing. The PH-01 features an electronic fault counter, a programmable wire length counter with 0. 1 mm resolution and DC voltmeter and resistance meter. It has a built-in electronic calibration circuit with precision timing references and reference resistors. The instrument is housed in a compact cabinet. It is supplied complete with connection cables, spare fuses, User's Manual, 1-year warranty and traceable calibration report.
