Impact Tester

Shree Ganesh Plastingeers offers izod/charpy impact testers. Products whether consumer or industrial, are likely to be subjected to shock loadings such as sudden hits. The resistance offered by the product against such loading is termed as impact resistance. This is tested by fixing a test specimen and releasing a fixed energy hammer to slam and break it off. There are two methods for specimen holding, viz cantilever holding known as izod impact or simply supported beam type holding-known as charpy impact strength. In some cases to cover the failure initiating energy, specimens are notched to certain defined geometry. This tester is a compact but sturdy impact tester which can accommodate both the types of above tests with simple change-over methods. It comes with the notching machine. All the materials can be covered in the measuring range but for more accuracy, different hammers are provided for different ranges. The operation method is not only simple but safe for the operator. Precise balancing of the hammers for minimum friction and easy replacement designs has also now been incorporated as a result of years of hands on experience.
