Fischer Measurement Technologies offers portable Coating Thickness Measuring Instruments. The range, which includes the FMP10, FMP20, FMP30 and FMP40 meters, has recently been launched worldwide on the market in a new design, a tradition that began in 1985 with the innovation of the microprocessor based instruments Deltascope MP and Isoscope MP. The new case design of the FMP series instruments is an attractive feature. The buttons that are not required for taking measurements are concealed behind a sliding cover. A large LCD display shows the menu and operating information in plain text. The case is similar in design to the top of the range hand-held Dualscope FMP 100, launched at the beginning of 2008. The FMP100 uses Windows CE ( registered trademark of Microsoft) as an operating system and features a large touch screen display. As in previous instrument generations, the features of the basic FMP10 and FMP20 instruments differ to those of FMP30 and FMP40 instruments. The operating philosophy of FMP predecessor models was intentionally passed on to the new FMP instrument generation. Users will instantly be familiar with the button layout, which has remained unchanged. Applications: Deltascope instruments are used for the measurement of non-ferrous magnetic metal coatings (chrome, copper, zinc, etc), as well as paint, powder coating, lacquer, enamel or plastic coatings on steel and iron. Isoscope instruments are used for the measurement of paint, powder coating, lacquer or plastic coatings on non-ferrous metals and non-magnetic stainless steel, anodising on aluminium as well as non-ferrous metal coatings (Cu, Sn, Zn, etc) on insulating material. The Dualscope unit incorporates the features from Deltascope and Isoscope in one measuring instrument (automatic substrate material recognition). The ideal combination: FMP instrument family and new F-probe series.
