Brake Shoe Adhesive Test Rig

SPM (India) manufactures brake shoe adhesive test rig. The rig is designed to test the bonded brake shoes and lining assembly for shear/adhesive strength of rivet/adhesive. The equipment consists of hydro pneumatic press to shear the lining from the brake shoe, a digital programmable load indicator, a heating oven to conduct high ambient tests and a conveyor line connecting oven and press for better component handling. The brake shoe is located on round pin and diamond pin and rested on rest pads. The shearing tool is supported by compression springs on two guide rods at either ends. The pneumo hydraulic power pack will carry the shearing tool till it touches the brake lining from brake shoe. Peak load is measured by the load cell and value is indicated on the DRO. The changeover from rapid approach to power stroke is with an adjustable time delay. The force is infinitely variable by adjusting the pneumatic pressure regulator. Approach speed is infinitely adjustable by means of pneumatic flow control valve. The basic machine is coupled to the load cell along with signal conditioner and peak detector to measure the force absorbed by brake shoe during the test.
