Zwick Roell Testing Machines manufactures Automatic Vicat needle machine, PA8. It is used to measure of the initial and final setting time of cements, plasters and mortars. Features: a) 100% autonomous; a very simple mechanism - two axes controlled by step-by-step motors; the software with general, post view and result windows, icons and code protected menu for the software configuration; the height posts are totally independent and a powerful mathematical interpolation give more precise results; b) the test can be started in any order, at any desired time, the machine carries out the measurements all by itself; c) the measurements are carried out following a pre-defined grid designed to make maximum use of the surface of the sample as per international standards and the results are recorded in a data-base and memorised on the computer"s hard disk.
