Temperature Scanner

EM Electronix manufactures a vast range of temperature related electronic equipments including temperature scanners, controllers, transmitters sensors and data acquisition systems. One of the fastest moving products is a microcontroller based single/multi channel Temperature Scanner for measurements of temperature used in process control applications. It accepts input from thermocouple/RTD sensors and displays temperature and channel numbers on seven segments LED displays. The scanner has a membrane keypad on the front panel for entering the parameters like set points, sampling interval, etc. The scanner also has status indications to display the Auto, Manual and Program mode. This scanner is a product of the company’s in-house, DSIR approved R&D laboratory which over the years has developed many products like speed processors, timers, RPM stroke counters, data loggers process transmitters all catering to the industrial segment. This scanner also comes with auto calibration feature. In auto mode, the scanner displays the temperature for particular channel at a fixed interval. In manual mode, the channel is displayed as long as the user desires. The user can set the high and low limits for each channel, display interval, etc. In the program mode, the set parameters are stored in a non-volatile memory, which is supported by a re-chargeable nickel cadmium cell during power off. This scanner also provides two relay outputs, one for high and another one for low alarm. Each of these relays will be selected even if one of the channels has exceeded the set limit programmed for the channel. Over the years the company has pioneered many such products including automatic transmission controllers for automobiles, power and control systems for defence and many more. It is the preferred vendor for many OEMs today.
