Dry Block Temperature Calibrators

Systems Engineers offers Dry Block Temperature Calibrators (temperature baths) in two different models – TB-400 and TB-600. These are low cost, portable, self-contained dry block calibrators for all types of temperature probes and gauges within the range from ambient to 400°C/600°C. These instruments are designed with a unique thermo-well structure, optimised for thermal gradient of the calibration well. This unique design ensures uniform heating without loss of accuracy. A set of three inserts is supplied with each calibrator to accommodate probes of standard sizes. In addition, one general purpose insert is also provided for non standard probes. A bottle of MgO2 is supplied for filling gaps around inserts. The insert selected on the basis of the size of the probe under test can inserted in the thermo-well of the calibrator to create an isothermal block, which is designed to maintain the probes at the same temperature. A PID controller supplied as part of the instrument controls the temperature of the master probe. The temperature of the unknown probe is the same as the master probe because of the isothermal design. The temperature of isothermal block is displayed on the digital display of the PID controller. The desired temperature can be set within the range with a readability of 0.1°C using the keypad on the on controller. With factory set P, I and D parameters, the dry block calibrators achieve and maintain the set temperature within stability of 0.2°C and accuracy of 0.3% FS range.
