The CYGNET 2013 and 2023 are hand held digital dB(A) meters which meet Type-2 accuracy standards of IS 9779:1981, and have their calibration traceable to NPL, New Delhi. Both meters offer precision, reliability and ruggedness for harsh conditions. These are suited for making noise level measurements. The 2023 is a two-range instrument with range extending from 40 dBA to 124 dBA in two overlapping 50 dB wide ranges. The 2013 is a single range instrument giving 50-115 dBA. Both feature selectable time averaging setting - slow and fast, as defined in IS 9779-1981. The display shows under range and over range conditions. The instruments are powered by four AA alkaline cells, which provide over 40 hours of continuous use. Batteries can be easily replaced in the field and are easily available in remote areas also. The display indicates the Low-Bat condition. These instruments are factory calibrated and can also be field-calibrated using the optional Acoustic Calibrator 3022.
