Baseline Technologies’ Portable Balancer 5200 is the latest offering dedicated for in-situ balancing of any rotor such as fan impellers, blowers, motors, pulleys, shafts, gyroscopes, centrifuges, grinding wheels etc. The only requirement is that the rotor should be able to run between 240-12000 RPM, and be accessible to the user for adding or removing weights around its periphery, and be visible for RPM sensing through an optical probe. The unit employs a highly advanced digital vector measurement technique for very high precision measurement. It also has built-in vector programs to take the guesswork out of site-balancing, and provide precise results. The user simply proceeds as per a two-step process (three for 2 plane balancing) and the instrument computes the weight and its angular location required to balance the rotor. It offers several setting options like addition or removal of balancing weight, retention of trial weight, blade resolution, etc. The unit is offered in 2 variants: 5200 for single plane and two-plane balancing of rotors, and 5200G with an additional module for balancing of grinding wheels to very high precision levels using two-weights or three weights already provided in the flange of the wheel. An optional mini-printer is also offered which can be used for printing the balancing report after completing the balancing for future records. The entire unit with accessories is packed in a compact briefcase and can be easily carried to site.
