Zwick Roell offers Metals Testing Machine, SP. It is specially designed for the testing of flat, round and profile specimens made of steel. In addition to tensile tests, it is also possible to carry out compression, bending and folding tests. It has particularly rigid load frame with a hydraulic central drive on the upper optionally fixed or adjustable crosshead. It is equipped with hydraulically operated wedge grips as standard. For the test load measurement, electrical load cells are used. The grip separation is measured contact free with a displacement transducer with a resolution of 0.5 µm. In spite of its size the SP machine does not need a special foundation.
