Abrasion Tester

Shree Ganesh Plastingeers offers abrasion testers. Elastomers, owing to their structure have poor mechanical strength but exhibit better resistance to abrasion. It is therefore widely used in applications where such resistance is required. These materials undergo elastic deformation under loading effect and tend to recover on unloading, thus exhibiting resistance to tear-off from the surface. Various methods are used to measure such resistance under different conditions like stationary specimen and moving abrader, vice versa or relative movement of both. For rubbers, DIN-53516 specifies relative movement method in which the abrading cylinder rotates and the specimen has relative lateral movement. This compact yet automatic abrasion tester is meant to match the relevant DIN specifications. Combined with technical advancement is the aesthetic appeal. The component and abraders have been selected keeping in view longer trouble-free life.
