Level Switch, Top Mounted

Cristal Instruments’ top mounted Level Switch facilitates any number of pre-determined level controls initiating audio-visual signals with a single unit. It is designed to provide reliable operation in severe industrial applications. Capable of withstanding temperature up to 200°C and pressure to 40 kg/cm², the unit is excellent for use in overhead/underground tanks, hot water service, sterilising equipment and a variety of process control fluid level applications. Principle of operation: the unit consists of a vertical guided tube (stem) within which are located the sensor switches, magnetic float sliding over the stem according to the level in the tank, switch housing and necessary mounting connection. The switch used is reed switch hermetically sealed and encapsulated in the stem. Because the switches operate on the principle of magnetic-flux coupling with no mechanical connection, fluid contamination of switch components cannot occur. Materials of construction and features: switch data – hermetically sealed magnetically operated reed switch with rhodium contacts completely isolated from medium and guaranteed for one million operations; SPST or SPDT contacts having current rating from 15 W to 200 W; factory set level accuracy within 2 mm, differential – 5 mm standard; repeatability better than ±0.5 mm; no maintenance required; process connection – SS square flange 83 mm PCD with 4 bolt holes of 9 mm f is std, other sizes and materials on request; wetted parts – SS-304, 316, PVC, PP, PVDF or Teflon lined; switch terminal housing – cast aluminium weather-proof construction is standard; flame-proof as per IS:2148-1981 for Group I, IIA & IIB gases on request.
