Scan's Flow Indicator / Totaliser is a panel mounted instrument with multi-functionality viz. flow rate indication, flow totalising, batch counter & alarm for instantaneous flow. It is a state-of-the-art micro controller based system that accepts mA signals proportional to flow rate from the flow transmitter. Flow Transmitter is available in DPT with orifice assembly, rotameter, magnetic flow meter, etc. with an output of 4-20 mA. It displays flow rate on 4 or 5 digit LED display / 6 or 8 digit totalising & batch counter mode.
It has 4-20 mA linear or sq. root input or pulse input corresponding to flow rate, 4 key tack-tile keyboard, high accuracy, totaliser value & set points stored in non-volatile RAM, LED indications for relays serial communication & memory full, memory capacity of 10,500 readings with real time data stamping for flow rate & totaliser count, logging interval programmable in minutes or seconds from 1 to 240. ASCII Data file transfer of logged values to PC, print interval programmable from 1 to 240 minutes, on screw type connectors, cabinet is panel mounting type Bezel-96x96mm (HxW), Depth : 200 mm, cutout : 92 x 92 mm (HxW).
It has user configurable flow rate range, field settable flow totalising rate, relay outputs optional for batch or set point operation, 24 V DC 100 mA supply for external use, re-transmission output optional for other panel mounted instruments like recorders, controllers, etc.
Serial communication with MODBUS protocol optional, real time data logging with printer output optional for flow rate & totalizer value. This data can be transferred to PC or hard copy that can be taken on dot matrix printer. Flow rate & totaliser range can be configured as required even at site. Totaliser can be reset manually or REMOTE as optional. The unit incorporates two relays, from which one can be used for alarm or instantaneous flow & the other for batch counter. One contact output is given for control or hooter application on each set point. Power supply for external transmitter (24 V DC at 100mA) is a standard feature. It eliminates the need of separate power supply to power the transmitter. For batch counting, batch count can be set. When flow equals preset count, system gives a contact output. It can be used for control operations like dosing, stoppage, etc.
