Float Switch, Miniature Horizontal

Shridhan International have introduced an import substitution product for the hydraulic, machine tool, chemical and other industries, which has greatly simplified the problem of sensing in liquid storage vessels. This horizontal float switch consists of a fixed stem to which a cylindrical float is hinged and the float moves up and down along with liquid level. A permanent magnet housed is the float actuates and deactuates the hermetically sealed reed switch located in the stem as the liquid level rises and falls. The horizontal float switch can be used either to close on rising-liquid level or to close on falling liquid level depending on mounting position. When normally open the switch is mounted such that the normally open contact closes when the float rises with rising level of liquid. And when normally closed the switch is mounted such that the normally closed contacts opens when the float rises with rising level of liquid.
