Elcometer Instruments L4 UK, offers Elcometer 355, a hand-held, accurate, simple, versatile and flexible measurmg system packed with time saving and cost-cutting features. The key to the superiority of the 355 is its measurement system which features a range of interchangeable probe modules capable of an accuracy of :± 1% of reading on a variety of coatings and surfaces, including ferrous and nonferrous substrates. The entire unit weighs,under 650 g and has a memory which allows to store up to 10,000 readings and data can be output to a PC, datalogger or printer when and as required. Elcometer 355 is available in two models: The 355 Top's software supports the 28-key control pad and allows readings to be stored in batches (up to 10,000 readings in total) with operating statistics, analysis of mean, standard deviation and maximum and minimum readings. The 355 Standard's software uses a 14-key control pad and features autobatching in statistics mode only with 5,000 readings capacity. The Ferrous (F) modules all measure non-magnetic coatings such as paint plastic, enamel, powder, rubber, ceramic, electroplating, hard chrome, galvanizing, and zinc sprayed metals on magnetic substrates, eg, steel, cast iron, ferrite and stainless steel. The Non-Ferrous modules measure non-conductive coatings such as anodizing, paint powders, and lacquers on non-ferrous metal substrates, eg, aluminium, brass, stainless steel, copper, and titanium.
