In-Process Gauging System

Fenwick and Ravi (FAR) manufactures in-process gauging systems. These are extensively used on grinding machines to effectively control the dimensions of components during grinding. This device also controls the grinding cycles. The use of these gauges greatly improve the process capability of the machine. FAR has developed the FARPOSS Series of gauges and electronic amplifiers which can be effectively used on cylindrical and centerless grinding machines. The gauging systems are available both for cylindrical grinding machines as well as for centerless grinding machines. The system uses an inductive pickup and sophisticated electronics to ensure repeatability of within 0.5 microns. FAR can also retrofit this system on existing automatic production grinders working in the field. Various models are available.
