High Accuracy Digital Length Gauge

The CP 60M is a high-accuracy incremental length gauge for the CERTO digital length gauging system. The CERTO system is used primarily in production and inspection control of high-precision manufactured products and components and is also recommended for monitoring, checking and calibration of other measuring standards. Total accuracy deviation of the CP 60M gauge is ?0.1 micron over a measuring range of 60 mm (2.4") and with ambient temperatures between 19? and 21?C, (66?--70?F). When used with Heidenhain's ND 291 display unit, an accuracy of ?0.5 micron can be realised. With signal correction of the ND 291, it is possible to realise a measuring step of 5 nm. The system is comprised of a motorised length gauge, ND 291 display unit, marble gauge stand and electronic switch box for plunge activation. This offers hands-free contact of the system which ensures high accuracies to be maintained. The CP 60M also comes in a non-motorised version for applications that require direct coupling with other measuring machines and equipment The measuring standard of the CP 60M contains a four micron grating period on Zerodur glass ceramic substrate. This arrangement reduces the amount of thermal growth of the measuring system to zero while operating in a controlled environment
