3D Tool Probe For Setting & Inspecting

Heidenhain"s Tr 110 is a 3D trigger probe for tool setting and inspection. The triggering is complete upon physical contact of the cutting tool. This can be done while the spindle is in operation. The trigger signal of the TT 110 is generated by an optical sensor that operates without friction, assuring high reliability. The TT 110 consists of a hardened non-corroding steel disk, the touch probe, and mounting base. The standard disk-type probe enclosure protects against collision, chips and coolant. The robust construction of the TT 110 and high protection class rating (IP 67) allows the probe to be installed in the machining area of metal cutting tools for inspection (wear and breakage), and measurement (length and diameter). Inspection and measurement are performed directly at the machine with the tool inserted in the spindle. The Tr 110 is installed on the machine table with a clamping screw and slide block; no adjustments are required. Parallelism of the surfaces is guaranteed to be within 0.01 mm. The TT 110 can be used with Heidenhain TNC controls; a version for other NC controls, TT 130 with 24-volt output, is also available.
