Practice-Oriented Calibration System

Optis was designed as a practice-oriented measuring and calibration system for industrial robots and robot cells, allowing a fast and accurate adaptation of simulated manufacturing tasks to the real environment. Correction of the user program takes place in the offline programmed nominal positions and orientations. In comparison with teach-in programming, the stand-still time of the production cell or line may be decreased during the set-up phase if the system is used together with an offline programming and simulation system. Further features are the set-up of identical production cells, special tool corrections (3D, 6D), as well as measuring and calibration of different robot types using one measuring device.
