Toshniwal Sensors offers an ultrasonic Leakage Inspection System manufactured by M/s M E C & Co Ltd, Japan, which is very useful for checking of leakage. The system is patented in Japan vide patent no. NDIS 3420-2000 and in United States vide patent no. 6,430,988. Model PH-111 can be used to detect 0.15 mm diameter of pinhole at a differential pressure of 0.4 kg/cm², from a distance of approximately 4 metres. In case it is used with PL-222 ultrasonic generator it can detect 0.01?m diameter of pinhole under no air pressure condition. The system works on ultrasonic sound [transmitting and receiving] principle. Running cost and detection time is minimum as compared to systems already available in International market and it is totally a dry method. There is no influence of thermal changes on leakage detection, in this system. Several leading Japanese companies are using this system successfully since last 5 years.
