Toshniwal Sensing Devices offers a Particulate Matter Sensor, PPD42NJ, for indoor air quality (IAQ). This is a particle sensor to detect air-borne particles in a room. This highly sensitive sensor detects particles such as smoke, pollen and dust which are larger than 1 micro metre, which can trigger many allergic symptoms. The sensor has digital (low pulse) output to particulate matters (PM), low pulse occupancy time is in proportion to PM concentration. Based on the light scattering method, pulse output that corresponds to concentration per unit volume of particles can be obtained. Air is self-aspirated with the current of air generation mechanism with a built-in heater. Dual output for the particle size over 1 micron and 2.5 micron (approx). Applications: air purifier, air quality monitor, air conditioner, ventilator, environmental monitor, etc.
