Vibration Analyser & Field Balancer 6050

Long before a machine breaks down, changes occur in its vibration. The technique of analysing these changes is extremely useful in not only rectifying the underlying causes, but also in predicting problems. In most cases, the cause of vibration in rotating machinery is rotor imbalance. Field balancing is the procedure for rectifying the imbalance of the rotor in-situ without dismantling it from its parent bearing. The Vibration Analyser and Field-Balancer 6050 is a portable instrument which carries out vibration measurement as per IS 11724; and also frequency analysis, which helps in identifying the likely causes of vibration. It also has built-in vector calculation algorithms to assist in field-balancing in single or two planes. In measure mode, one can measure vibration of rotors in velocity (mm/sec rms), acceleration (m/sec?), or displacement (microns). One can also measure the synchronous vibration ? which is caused by imbalance; and the vibration vector (amount and angle of vibration). Thus the 6050 is a comprehensive tool for identifying, analysing and rectifying vibration problems on rotating machines. The instrument has a memory for 24 spectra and a windows based program for PC is supplied with the instrument for serial transfer of spectra to the PC, and its trending over time. Together with this program, the 6050 fulfils a need in the industry for a cost-effective tool for vibration based predictive breakdown maintenance and also for production level frequency analysis for motor and other rotating equipment manufacturers.
