Gravity die casting is a process in which molten metal is poured in a metal mould (usually of iron) under the working of gravity. Since the metal enters the mould under the influence of gravity the process is called as Gravity Die Casting (GDC). Permanent moulding in the USA, is another form of gravity casting using an iron mould. Dr Dinesh & Ramesh has set up their proprietary low pressure die casting system that caters to parts from 0.5 kg to 25 kg. Parts developed in LPDC offer advantages to other systems in homogeneity, and yield (lowers process cost). The company, established in the year 1979, is engaged in manufacturing of aluminium castings of various grades and sizes, in weight range varying from 0.5 kg to 100 kg, in permanent mould gravity die casting and low pressure die casting. It provides end-to-end solutions for aluminium castings to customers including: die making, die casting: gravity die casting (permanent mould casting) and low pressure die casting, machining, heat treating, shot blasting, testing and inspection.
