The company initially focused mainly on after-sales support to industrial steam-turbine users in India. The range of services varied from a simple service-requirement to complex re-engineering and upgrade solutions like refurbishments, efficiency improvement upgrades, steam path modification, etc., which still remains one of the core competencies of the company.

With this background, and backed by an experienced team of development engineers, foray into manufacturing of steam turbines was an obvious choice. From the first turbine supplied in the year 2003, MaxWatt today is a leader in small-capacity industrial steam turbines in India and also has exported turbines to South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Nepal, Iran, Africa and Caribbean Islands.
