MaxWatt Turbines Pvt Ltd manufactures industrial turbines, designed by applying "modular system with optimised flow-path" approach. The standardised modules can be integrated, in accordance with an application requirement, to make a complete turbine. This principle allows producing a varied range of turbines with fewer modules. This design approach also helps reducing the development efforts as already-proven modules can be used for new developments. Other benefits are: reduced design-period and, hence, lower production/delivery time; commonality of parts between standard modules and, hence, easier and faster availability of spares; and lower development-cost and time. Reliability starts with rotor – the heart of steam turbines. MaxWatt turbines use rotors, which have rotor discs and shafts machined from solid forging with no possibility of rotor disc loosening. The rotor incorporates integral thrust-collar, on the non drive end, which maintains squareness with respect to the shaft axis. The emergency over-speed governor is also mounted on the non-drive end of the rotor shaft. The fully assembled rotor is dynamically balanced. The turbine casings are horizontally split at the centre line, which facilitates easy assembly, maintenance and replacement of parts. Proper tightness of the mating surfaces is ensured through high-accuracy finish and ing metal-to metal contact with a sealing compound.
