KGK Engineering has launched a cost effective, feature rich series of machine levelling assemblies for precise levelling & grouting a variety of machine tools & general-purpose machinery. Machine levelling plays a very important role in achieving accuracies especially on larger parts & the life of many machine elements such as Ballscrews, LM Guides, Bearings. Typical machine levelling screws - especially for heavier equipment - suffer from a number of drawbacks such as low precision of levelling, high effort, high manufacturing cost (of threading large size holes in the base, machining large threaded members). KGK Engineering’s machine levelling assembly provides a cost-effective method of precise machine levelling using a wedge & screw arrangement to give precise levelling control (eg 1 turn of the screw Rod changes the height by 0.38 mm) with very low torque. The screw rod horizontal axis allows for very ergonomic operation of the assembly especially in very tight spaces. Different series of levelling assemblies cater to different machine requirements (based on height, budget, etc). All the assemblies are provided with the standard features such as spherical equipment seating pad to allow for any local floor variations; thru-assembly grouting; wedge movement against dead stops to prevent any excess load on the screw rod and visual indication of balance adjustment. Options available are anchoring bolts with spherical washer / nut for thru-assembly grouting of machine, remote operation extension screw rods (for assemblies placed deep inside the equipment base), adjustment range extender spacers & lateral movement facility.
