Universal Slide Units

Precitec offers Universal Slide Units. These are specially designed for adaptability on special purpose machines. They can be used both as: Table units for mounting fixtures where feed/indexing is given to job; and For spindle feed where feed/indexing of spindles are required. Salient features: carriage or table is of high grade CI machined on all sides, sliding surfaces lined with Turcite for low wear and tear and stick-slip free movement; rectangular guide ways case hardened to 58-62 HRc to get very high reliability and life; guide ways fixed on rigid high grade CI/rigidly fabricated, stress relieved slide base, well designed to take even heavy cutting loads; slides have narrow guide system with a taper gib for adjusting the clearance; when slides required hydraulic feed they are fitted with special feed type cylinders with low friction seals to get smooth feed motion; as standard, wiper will be fixed on the carriage for cleaning the hardened guide way strips; and slides provided with 4 proximity elements fixed on the unit for feed control along with suitable trip dogs. These are: a. Feed End - P1; b. Home 2 - P2; c. Home 1 - P3; and d. Feed Change Over - P4. All 4 proximity switches and trip dogs are Technic Euchner make. Proximity switches P2, P3, P4 are housed inside the acrylic cover. P1 is fixed at rear end and inside the telescopic cover. The slide unit is provided with adjustable mechanical stop (screw and nut) at top of the hydraulic cylinder.
