Purvi Products offers a Portable Plating Machine, Model Rich Gold, for on-site plating work. This is a unique plating machine for selective platingdone without dipping the job in electroplating tanks. The plating quality is better than tank plating. Plating of bright nickel, gold, silver and rhodium metal is possible on metal parts including stainless steel. The usage of this unique machine is unlimited and mainly depends upon creativity and imagination skill of the user. Silver plating on electrical connections has proved to be a very effective tool to bring down the electrical losses occurring on account of joint resistance. Joint resistance is reduced by 40%. Heat generation is also reduced and possible failures due to hotspots are thus averted. The company offers a video CD showing application of this equipment in power plants. The application list includes plating on edge contacts of assembled PCB card without disassembly or masking, plating on flexible circuitry and tape cable, prototype manufacturing, extra thickness on gold plated area, small scale production of PCB with gold plating, silver plating on electrical contacts/bus bars/terminals, nickel plating on stainless steel for improving solderability, touch-up on plated parts and industrial parts where selective plating is a specification.
