Induction technology is used in metal industry since the beginning of 20th century, but it is only in the last some years that it is put to use in small melting machine like in jewellery workshop. This was possible due to the development in power electronic semiconductors. The company has developed an induction melting machine for use in precious metal melting and casting industry. This has eliminated a lot of problems faced by precious metal industry. The main advantages and features are: latest IGBT switching technology for longer operating life, high efficiency and high performance, absolute alloy homogeneity guaranteed by the medium frequency operating of machine; reduces melting losses due to uniform distribution of heat in the graphite crucible, machine is designed for most common graphite crucible that is available ex-shelf everywhere; automatic temperature control by bottom touching, spring mounted, thermocouple; an audio-visual alarm alerts if the water circulation breaks in the middle of working; pouring is done by manual extraction of crucible for up to 3 kg capacities and by hand-wheel tilting above that, temperature of 1400?C is also available optionally for working with white gold (palladium/nickel based alloy); and liberal design of components guarantees their reliability and long working life. This minimises maintenance and maximises production.
