Fuzzy Logic Spark EDM

Cosmos Grinding Technologies represents the world class Wirecut EDM from Joemars. The Joemars – AZ Series state-of-the-art, ZNC Fuzzy Logic EDM is a new programmable unit Auto machining from rough to finishing is possible with Joemars JM series EDM machines, in a total of 50 programs. Each program can do a single step, 5 steps or a maximum of 10 steps machining and each step includes 12 kinds of machining parameters. By using Joemars fuzzy logic control system, the operator can get total of 9600 sets of machining parameters, which can also be modified at any instance during sparking without affecting the stored parameters. Fuzzy operator panel is user friendly, requires no in-depth knowledge about EDM process. All the relevant data will be entered in shortest possible time. The operator needs to enter only 4 data, viz., material type, electrode size, electrode wear and peak current. Then the best machining parameters will be auto set to start machining from rough to final surface finishing automatically. The Joemars new fuzzy logic control system will auto monitor and adjust the machining parameter in the event of poor machining conditions. Once the condition is cleared it will auto return to the pre-set parameters to achieve the best performance. Work table size of 600 x 300 mm in JM 322 will increase up to 1200 x 700 mm in case of JM 1050 model. Maximum electrode weight ranges from 60 kg in JM 320 model to 300 kg in JM 1050 model; and workpiece weight on table ranging from 550 kg in JM 320 to 4000 kg in JM 1050. The maximum machining current ranges from 50 A to 100 A in steps of 25 A. The machining speed is 10 to 45 % faster and the surface finish obtained is of 25 to 40% better than conventional machine models. Joemars JM Series machine also supports optionally CNC orbit-cut system for electrode orbiting. The basic machine is provided with linear glass-scale on all 3 axes with digital position read-out (DRO) on X, Y and Z-axis.
