Extruder

Umang extruder is designed in various sizes from small size machines useful for R&D purpose to larger size machines for production purpose. The machine is used for converting the powder-material (which does not get sticky when mixed with binders) into extrudes/granules. The premixed dough with binder are mixed in the mixer and are then fed in the feed hopper of the extruder. The hopper is designed in such a way that the material does not form a cavitation while being pressed between the two rollers. Of the two rollers, one is the die roller and the other, a knurling roller (pressing roller). The die roller is designed in such a way that when the extrusions come out, the material passes through without blocking the holes of the roller. The extrusions that come out of the die roller are cut to regular finite length with the help of an adjustable cutter attached in front of the die roller. The diameter of extrusions depends upon the size of the perforations (holes) present in the die roller. Optional accessories are: AC drive for speed control with digital RPM indicator; different diameter die rollers; continuous cooling arrangement during extrusion operation; and, direct connection from extruder to spheroidizer. User areas are pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries. Advantages: up to 96% uniformity, depending on formulation, ease of changing die roller if diameter of extrusions is to be varied, and, length of extrusions is adjustable.
