Torcmatic Drive Press

Emco Pressmaster's TMX Series Presses are ideally suited for heavier blanking, piercing, stamping and forming operation covering a wide range of sheet metal components. These presses give greater productivity and accuracy, because their extra rigid wide body frame has low deflection rating resulting in extended die and tool life. The presses are equipped with double reduction drive, instead of the normal single reduction, thus enabling heavy forming operations. For special requirements, the possibility of incorporating triple gear reduction for extra deep draw operations is possible, wherein the press speed could be reduced to 8 to 10 strokes per minute with full work energy. The Torcmatic Drive enables the press to deliver full tonnage at higher point above the BDC for thicker blanking operations as well. Hydraulic jam release system has been incorporated as a standard feature. Side thrusts are sustained directly by the press frame through bilaterally symmetrical slide guide gibs resulting in longer tool life and high precision Stampings. The slide movement alignment with reference to bed is now operator proof and press accuracies are expected to remain good for many years. These presses have also been provided with hydraulic motorised slide adjustment with micro adjustment facility. The presses have provision for retro-fitment of two auxiliary drives, which enables automation for better utilisation of presses. The presses in this series are available in regular C Frame and a new Ring Frame construction that has a square bed and slide area, enabling the usage of bigger tools. These presses conform to press accuracy standards of JIS 6402B Grade 1.
