Hydraulic Press, Automatic

Instrumentation & Controls offers hydraulic automatic compression moulding press of four-column type. It consists of machines of 15 tonne, 30 tonne, 50 tonne and 100 tonne capacity. The presses are designed with large platen area, long stroke and fast cycling time. These are push button operated with full automatic cycle and provision is incorporated for inching down for tool setting. The machines can be fitted with heaters, temperature controllers and/or with air operated up and down guards in two parts and as a further safety feature air operated chokes can be incorporated and these are electrically interlocked with the action of the guard. On the basic machines there are eight tapped fixing holes in the top and bottom platens but other holes or tee slots can be provided at extra cost. The illustration shows the 30 tonne press and this press have an electric heater unit in each platen. The electric control panel can be fitted on either side of the press and an additional twin cycle button can be fixed on the opposing side if required. The illustrated press is being used for making polymer film for testing in laboratories. The press has three timers and pressures control to have air removal initially and then compression for a given period. It is fully automatic press made for a polymer-manufacturing unit.
