Consortech Tools (India) offers complete ‘Nano’ Work Centre for Milling/Drilling – a combination of mill/drill unit BFB 2000, compound table KT 150 and mill/drill system BFW 40/E. Brief description of each: 1. Mill/Drill system BFW 40/E – the triple ball bearing armature provides direct drive (no gearing). This yields virtually vibration-free operation and extremely high spindle accuracy. Features: die-cast aluminium head with spindle neck of 43 mm (European standard); large, easy to use switch with emergency function, and user-friendly chart indicates optimum speeds for milling and drilling of various materials and the motor operates at 40 V, supplied from the power pack/controller. With this, the control characteristics are ideal and yield high torque, even at lower speeds. 2. Mill/Drill unit BFB 2000 – for standard drills with 43 mm spindle neck. Features: high strength precision die-cast aluminium, with precision milled dovetail slides; head with precision milled dovetail slide and may be tilted through 90° to give all-round versatility – diagonal drilling, versatile without need of special milling bits, milling diagonal slots; fine feed selectable, allowing fine head feed for milling; with dial and depth scale; geared rack and pinion feed for effortless drilling; 45 mm diameter drill column, 500 mm long, approx 140 mm throat (column outside to tool centre) 65 mm stroke, and machined, solid base plate approx 200 x 200 mm; all drills with standard 43 mm spindle collars may be utilised directly; and weight approx 6.5 kg. 3. Die-cast aluminium compound table KT 150 – manufactured with high-performance precision aluminium die-cast parts, with milled dovetail guides and precision milled dovetail slides, thus also suitable for metal work. Features: for routing, milling, slotting of steel, non-ferrous metal, plastic and wood; each slide provided with locking screws; dovetail fittings/gib strips adjustable to eliminate play; feed adjustments by means of 2 handwheels with adjustable, graduated dials (one revolution = 2 mm, one graduation = 0.05 mm); machined table, 3 T-slots for fastening machine vices and clamping kits; fence supplied with pre-drilled positioning holes, including 45°, fastening screws and clamp used for routing; table 200 x 200 mm, maximum travel 150 x 150 mm, overall height 75 mm, and weight 4.9 kg.
