Milling Heads

Shenoy Engineering offers Milling Heads. These Milling Heads are with cylindrical quill and lever change mechanism. Different spindle speeds are offered in 20 HP and 30 HP capacities. The manual quill movement is 150 mm; 4 spindle speeds are offered through lever changing mechanism. The spindle taper is either ISO-50 or ISO-60. These milling heads are suitable for mounting cutters up to dia 600 mm. Ram type milling and boring head is suitable for replacing the worn out, old milling and boring heads. The ram stroke can be as much as 1,500 mm, which helps to add to the existing feed stroke of the machines. The super finished ram bore, rigidly supports the spindle through well designed, multiple layers of bearings. The square, box type ram is with case-hardened guide way strips on the outer body; the female guide in the ram is with the turkite linings for high wear-resistance and smooth, high speed movement of the ram. 4 taper jibs eliminate the clearance between the ram and the housing, thus ensuring the utmost rigidity. The spindle received it"s drive through a gear box which has lever-operated speed-changing mechanism. For step-less spindle speeds, vector VFD or servo system is offered. The ram feed is through a ball lead screw and box nut mechanism. The feed drive consists of VFD controlled motor and worm reduction gearbox. Inherently, the square sliding surfaces have extremely large contact area with the housing, thus ensuring maximum rigidity and the least vibrations during traverse and heavy material removal.
