Duplex Milling Machine

Kasthuri Machine Builders offers a Duplex Milling Machine used to machine both face and periphery of the component with a cut of max up to 2.5 mm. There are 2 milling heads, both moving on LM guide ways. Head movement is by hydraulic system, which, if required can also be converted into servo system to archive more accuracy. This duplex milling machine fixture slide also moves front and back on LM Guide ways; similarly this slide drive is through hydraulic system and can be converted as servo system. Fixtures are designed as per customers’ requirement with hydraulic clamping system, which is normally the best clamping system for the duplex milling machine. Duplex milling machine is normally considered as one of the best machine for mass production of components which need milling all the sides. Operation wise, in the duplex milling machine, once the component is put on the fixture and switched on, both heads come forward towards the component to maintain the given thickness and fixture slide starts moving; in this case milling process on both periphery and face starts. As soon as the milling is over the head retracts and the fixture slide comes back.
