Lapping and polishing machine, double side

Speedfam (India) manufactures a double side-lapping machine useful for simultaneous lapping. The company belongs to a world-renowned group in flat machining technology. The principal of 4-way motion is unique in this machine, which helps to achieve the best possible accuracy in flatness, parallelism, thickness control and surface finish. The machine has the upper lapping plate and lower lapping plate rotating in opposite direction to each other. The component to be lapped is placed in carriers which are geared and driven in planetary motion between upper and lower lapping plates due to outer and inner gear. The carriers also rotate, while revolving in the same direction as of the lower plate, there by creating 4-way motion. The machine can produce flatness of 0.3 microns or less, parallelism of 2 microns and surface finish of 0.02 Ra. Parts with minimum thickness of 0.07 mm to maximum of 25 mm can be processed on these machines. Features: auto lap plates flatness control, high precision pneumatic pressure control system, brittle and fragile parts can be easily processed, variable speed control with soft start and stop for lap plates, and thickness control system (optional).
