Gujarat-based Cosmos Impex offers Feeler FV 1500A, a vertical machining centre designed for machining extra long parts used in aerospace application or large mould plates. The machine features axes travels of 1525/760/650. The machine base is heavily ribbed, built from Meehnite grade cast iron. The saddle is supported on widely spread 4 guide ways for high rigidity and vibration damping. The axes are employed with 50 mm, C3 class, pre tensioned ball screws. The resultant accuracy is of the order of 0.010 mm/300 mm for positioning and ?0.003 mm for repeatability. FV 1500 A is supplied with standard 15 HP spindle power, 6000 RPM, ISO 50 spindle taper. For higher cutting torque 2 speed gear box and 20 kW spindle power is also available. A 24 tools arm type automatic tool changer comes standard with 32 tools changer is available as an optional. Both the changer features tool to tool change time of about 5 seconds and chip to chip time of around 8 seconds. A wide opening doors in the front provide an easy access to work table as well as easy loading and unloading of the work piece. The machine is available with a wide range of choice of CNC controller to suit individual application. For general machining application it can be with Fanuc O series to aerospace application with Fanuc 18 M or Siemens 810 D or die and mould application with Siemens 810D or 840D or Mitsubishi M65 CNC control..
